Still can't get a good one...

9 weeks

Claire is 9 weeks today and as cute as ever. She's just not sure how she feels about Nathan holding her!

What's Nathan up to?

When I got Nathan up from his nap and told him I had to take his diaper off, he went over and sat down by Claire and said "I don't want... changer la couche". Then he said "Daddy work". I'm glad he has someone to confide in! It was his first time talking to her. :)

And the sweetest thing he's ever done... several times I've been rocking him before bedtime and Claire has started to fuss. When he hears her, he'll say "dans le lit" meaning that I can put him in his crib and then he'll say "Mommy help Claire". And he'll go down without a fuss!!! This is our Nathan whose been fighting us over going to bed for 2 years! Nothing short of a miracle!

This, we discovered, is what life is like with two! The worst part is that I watched him dump the whole bag out but couldn't stop it with Claire in my arms!

Trains and Basketball

Blanket Time

This is Nathan doing "blanket time" so well. He spends most of his time reading books and likes it now! We moved his blanket in front of his bookshelf. One time, he just walked in his room and closed the door behind himself. It's the only time he really plays by himself and the most relaxing 45 min of my day. :)

40 weeks, 3 days

We went on a walk by the lake today. It was so nice out! It's been the best Winter ever in Chicago!

We're really excited about having Claire. Nathan's been really cute, pointing to her clothes and saying "Baby Claire" and kissing my tummy. He's been getting down on the floor with other babies and putting his face up to theirs to talk and laugh with them. He's a rough little boy but seems to know to at least TRY to be gentle with babies.

Winter

Thank goodness, he really likes wearing his hat... because it's not so easy with his gloves!

Special Times with Amelie

Amelie giving Nathan his bottle before bed. He couldn't stop giggling so it wasn't too soothing. But it sure was fun!

Elmo

We took Nathan to see Elmo at a neighborhood toy store on Saturday morning. He was so exited, talking about it the whole way there. As you can tell by the picture, once we got there, it wasn't so fun. We couldn't get any closer than this. I guess a life-size Elmo is a little scary! Oh well, we had fun getting out and got some free stuff. :)

Halloween

Nathan was a Panda Bear. He did really good wearing his "hat" till the end! We had a blast trick-or-treating with Matthew, Amelie, and her school friends!
