I've had so much fun making these this last month. It's kind of like doing an art project again! Thank you Heather and Briant for watching Nathan!

Nathan Walking

Nathan just discovered he could walk tonight! He's been doing a squat and getting himself in the standing position for a couple weeks but he usually just throws the ball he's holding and squats back down. His "second" walk tonight was 18 steps! We didn't count the first one but I think it was about 10. Later, he walked up and down the hall, so excited to be walking. That's when I took this video. (I think it's funny that he already has a ball in his right hand but has to go get the other ball at the end of the hall as well.)

He really hadn't been doing much before this. Just a few steps between people and usually falling on the person he was walking toward.

Woods right by the house the Sanchez' are trying to buy

These are the woods practically across the street from where the Sanchez' are trying to buy, on the North side of Foster. We had a beautiful walk and saw a bunch of deer.

We timed the walk from our condo to what will hopefully be the Sanchez home and it was only 13 minutes!

This is officially my first post from our new laptop. Much faster! :)

Nathan's Favorite Game

Latest Pictures

I haven't been very good at taking pictures or updating my blog lately. I forgot our camera when we went to Seattle but thankfully, you can see what we did on Katie's blog!

Nathan is starting to look older... and tanner! I'm so happy that Winter is over! Nathan loves going down the slides head first and climbing back up them. We went to the free day at the Planetarium yesterday. I parked at a friend's house and walked 2 miles there and back. We had to make sure we got out in the 80 degree weather.

"My mom finally got something out that was low enough for me to climb into/unto."
Actually, Nathan climbed up onto a wooden chair a couple days ago. He hasn't done it since then so I think he forgot that he can do it.

"It tastes better when my cousin is eating the same thing."

Banana

This video is a little old but still cute! We gave Nathan a whole banana right before we took this video but he shoved about a 1/4 of it in his mouth. That's why Briant is holding it himself in this video. As you can see, he's still taking bites that are too big and chocking a little.

It took a few bananas but Nathan can now successfully feed himself a banana!

Nathan's First Birthday

Nathan had a Barnyard Bash with a little lamb cake. He loved picking the marshmallows off the cake even before eating the actual cake! It was so much fun to celebrate with Nathan's cousins!

This is why it's hard to video tape Nathan doing anything! As soon as he sees the camera, he stops what he's doing and goes for the camera.

Blizzard

No, No

I know, it's time to update... I'll hopefully get around to pictures soon. Nathan has been saying "no, no" for a while now. He brings us his favorite book to read. On the 3rd page, the words are "No, no. That isn't right". Before we even turn the page for those words to come up, Nathan says "no, no!".

He's also having conversations now. They go something like this:

Harmony: Nathan, it's time to change your diaper.
Nathan: No, no, no, no!

Upon grabbing toys from Mathew's hands...
Matthew: No, no...
Nathan: No, no...
Matthew: No, no...
Nathan: No, no...

He also has conversations with himself. When he's trying to get something that's out of his reach or that he knows he's not allowed to have, he says "no, no" to himself - or maybe to me to let me know that he REALLY wants it!
